To be 100% clear, these Australian-made AUSfonte pans will never again be available as limited First Edition castings after Feb 17. A real once-in-a-lifetime thing!

SOLIDTEKNICS Australia only casts First Edition pans once in each new pan model's life: as a limited edition before retail launch. These rare and highly collectible heirloom pans are only ever made as a special reward for backers on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.com: a special bonus for the supporters who share the SOLIDTEKNICS vision and help crowdfund the significant Australian mould costs.

Each pan is cast underneath with the words 'FIRST EDITION' and the actual casting date, and only for Kickstarter backers. (When the pans go to retail they are instead cast with the word 'CAST' and the casting date.) When you realise that these pans will last for hundreds (if not thousands) of years, this makes these limited First Edition launch models the most highly collectible of all cookware collectibles, to be handed down for many generations as prized family heirlooms. And they are only available once, in one short window. This is a once-in-many-lifetimes thing!

After SOLIDTEKNICS very successfully funded the first AUSfonte pan, the widely acclaimed 24cm Sauteuse pan, on Kickstarter in September 2014, a lot of cooks in Australia and the USA were disappointed that they had missed out on the FIRST EDITION launch version of the pan after the campaign closed. (The base of that pan is shown in the picture at the top of this page.) The AUSfonte Sauteuse pan is now selling very strongly in gourmet kitchenware stores and online in Australia and the USA, and being called the finest pan available today by growing numbers of chefs and expert cooks. Early indications are that the two new pans will be at least as successful, and collectible. And the most collectible of all is always the limited First Edition!
