It's always a personal choice of course. And it's not just a question of value, but values.....
Knowing what I know about materials and global manufacturing, I personally wouldn't cook for my family on import iron from questionable sources. I'd pay extra for a trustworthy source of pure, clean heavy-metal-free iron.
I'd also pay extra for a well-designed cast iron pan, with a long and comfortable stay-cool handle.
Then there's the pride in owning a collectible piece of Australian manufacturing history, not a no-name import. There's a lot of value in intangibles like pride, I believe.
There's only one pan available with all of those significant benefits, and more.
And if it's $80 more, that's great investment over a multi-century lifespan, I believe.
